:STORY:
Oka Laila Kosam jeevi reviewKarthik (Naga Chaitanya) is a free soul and he doesn’t care about the traditional way of living. Nandana (Pooja Hegde) is a daddy’s girl and is very traditional in upbringing and highly conservative in behavior. Karthik falls in love with Nandana at first sight. He starts following her and proposing her. But she keeps getting frustrated with his advances. Then there is a twist in the tale. Rest of the story is all about how Nandana realises the true intensity and nobility of Karthik’s love.
:ARTIST PERFORMANCE:
Oka Laila Kosam jeevi reviewActors: Naga Chaitanya seems to have enjoyed doing the role of Karthik. He looks very natural and did his part well. Pooja Hegde looks very beautiful and charming. Her expressions are good. She will be a big star in the days to come. Ali provides some entertainment as hero’s uncle. Sayaji Shinde plays a positive role.
:TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT:
Story - screenplay - direction: The basic premise and orientation of this film reminds us of Kushi. The story is wafer thin. The story runs on the basis that heroine misunderstands hero and the film ends when the misunderstanding is cleared. The two pigeons in the logo of the film has a lot of importance to the story. A gripping screenplay and a lot of magic moments are needed for such a story to work at every level. The concept of naming a star is very creative. The director has made sure that the movie is aimed at two genres - youth and family crowds. The screenplay should have been better in the second half. Some of the scenes added to extend the screenplay look artificial.
:OTHER DEPARTMENT:
Anup Rubens has given classy background music. Songs are alright. Cinematography is colorful, thanks to ample DI. Dialogues are okay. Production values by Annapurna studios is good.
:REVIEW ANALYSIS:
Oka Laila Kosam is a kind of script that works only with magic moments and a gripping screenplay. Some of the moments in the film are good. But an engaging screenplay is required for the second half to work well. The climax of the film is nice. Plus points of the film are Naga Chaitanya and Pooja Hegde. The success of the film depends on how youth and family crowds embrace it.
